I step upon the green
Like cream, the decadence surrounds me
My soul is full
I’m crying
The grey jungle surrounds me
Suffocating
I’m not letting in
I’m not letting it in me
The crime of man
It wants me
It wants us
To fall in line and trip over its dollars and pay them with time
But not mine
Mine is mine
Mine belongs out there
Amongst the wild
The birdsong
The squeaking trees
The croaking pond
The shadows and rock
The wind blows through the grass
It’s welcoming fingers pass through my hair
I crave
I lay down on the hard earth
Gaia’s beating heart
I feel her
My home
My shelter
No one can take what is rightfully mine
Rightfully ours
She is ours and we are hers
Forever
